Founded in 1966, Sodexo is the world leader in “quality of life” services. Present in 64 countries, the company is one of the world's largest providers of collective catering services. Its business today extends to other services: reception and cleanliness, technical upkeep and maintenance, home help, etc.
Sodexo is affiliated with 1.3 million merchants and serves around a hundred million consumers around the world every day.
Within the internal control department of Sodexo France's IT department, a certain number of control processes are put in place and proof of their successful completion is posted online on a SharePoint server. All tasks and processes related to the submission and validation of internal control evidence were handled manually, which was time-consuming and prone to errors.
For the internal control department of Sodexo France's IT department, it was therefore necessary to automate these recurring processes in order to assign employees to business tasks requiring more valuable know-how.
Another objective was to reduce the risk of errors linked to the manual processing of evidence while allowing teams to intervene manually on automated processes.
Finally, the solution had to adapt to the applications already in place for this process (use of SharePoint for storing evidence and Mantis for ticketing certain evidence).
NEOFI was perfectly integrated into Sodexo's application environment thanks to its integrated ETL which allowed it to easily communicate with the existing database. The ability to rapidly develop connectors for Sharepoint and Mantis applications as well as the traceability of each action carried out by the automaton from the ergonomic monitoring platform are two strong points which were particularly appreciated by the IT department team.
In order to meet Sodexo's criteria, NEOFI has set up an RDA ( What is RDA ) machine capable of collecting, publishing and referencing the evidence submitted by depositors, and updating the tracking table automatically, then deployed a monitoring dashboard
Every day, the automaton executes its evidence recovery process following the channels configured in the repository file (shared directory, email or Mantis ticketing tool). The publication is done automatically in the SharePoint evidence library and the automation then updates the status in the tracking table, allowing you to know the status of the publications at a glance. In order to optimize the daily life of validators as much as possible, an email notification function for the depositor and validator has also been added.
Initially planned to understand the design of a maximum of 50 proofs, the project was oriented towards a configurable and unlimited solution thus conferring total autonomy to the Sodexo France IT department team for future developments of the quality plans. The project was much more in-depth than when the specifications were established, the NEOFI software having opened up possibilities not thought of before implementation.
Controlling the automaton via a simple parameter table allows Sodexo's French IT department teams to have total autonomy over the evolution of the evidence to be provided in the future, without requiring any particular technical skills.
